Statesman and Playwright. Well known for ‘The Rivals’ which was inspired by Bath and the great scandal he caused when he eloped with the young singer Elizabeth Linley.
There is a plaque devoted to him at 9, New King Street. If you share Sheridan’s love for the theatre you can visit the Theatre Royal, Bath.
