Arnold Ridley OBE (1896 – 1984)

War Hero, Playwright and Actor. Well known as Private Charles Godfrey in ‘Dad’s Army’. President of Bath Rugby Club 1950–1952.
Arnold Ridley is an unsung hero of the city.
